Rights and Responsibilities: Global Perspectives, June 2012, Sussex

The PhD community at the School of Law, Politics and Sociology would like to invite doctoral students to participate in our inaugural PhD conference: Rights and Responsibilities: Global Perspectives, 14 June 2012.

The conference is a one-day event that will include paper and poster presentations and workshop seminars separated into topic specific streams (topics tbc). This conference is a unique opportunity for PhD students to present their research to an interdisciplinary audience. We especially encourage the participation of PhD candidates as both delegates and speakers. The theme of our conference was chosen on the basis of its broad context application to support wide range participation and should be conceived in broad terms by participants.

We invite students to submit abstracts for one of the following:

1)            Paper presentations (approx 300 words)
2)            Workshop presentations (approx 300 words) or
3)            Poster presentations (a short outline of your poster is sufficient).

These should be sent to Christine Turnbull at
C.Turnbull@sussex.a.c.ukC.Turnbull@sussex.a.c.uk> by 16 April 2012. Please note in the subject of the email which type of presentation you would like to be considered for.

Participants will be informed no later than 30 April 2012.

The cost of the conference is £10, to be paid in advance by cheque (or £15 on the day).
