ESRC/Scottish Government Co-Funded PhD Studentship: Trust of Government Data

Applications are invited for a 3-year PhD studentship with the Scottish Graduate School-Doctoral Training Centre within the Centre for Population Health Sciences (CPHS: http://www.cphs.mvm.ed.ac.uk/) at The University of Edinburgh. This social science PhD will explore the range of factors influencing levels of dis/trust in government data and statistics and the implications of this for public relationships with government and the public sector. It will do this through the use of established and innovative mixed methods.

The PhD will be supervised by Prof Sarah Cunningham-Burley (Sarah.C.Burley@ed.ac.uk) and Dr Mhairi Aitken (mhairi.aitken@ed.ac.uk) at the University of Edinburgh, and a representative of the Scottish Government.
