‘Big Society? Disabled People with Learning Disabilities and Civil Society’, University of Huddersfield

The School of Human and Health Sciences Postgraduate Research Forum is looking forward to hosting this event featuring a presentation from Professor Dan Goodley (School of Education, University of Sheffield) and Dr Katherine Runswick-Cole (Research Institute for Health and Social Change, Manchester Metropolitan University).
Professor Goodley and Dr Cole will discuss their new ESRC-funded research project which will explore the extent to which people with learning disabilities participate in civil society, the impact of the coalition government’s policies and austerity measures, and the realities of the Big Society for people with learning disabilities.
