Health Services and Delivery Research (HS&DR) Programme
Researcher-led workstream:
The researcher-led workstream welcomes outline proposals on topics or research questions identified by researchers within the programme's remit.
The deadline for the current call is 1pm on 3 October 2013.
The next call will open in mid-October.

In addition to the current standard researcher-led round, the HS&DR Programme is interested in receiving applications relating to improving environmental sustainability in the NHS, and how this affects the quality and organisation of services. Please see the highlight notice for more details.

Commissioned workstream:
The comissioned workstream welcomes outline proposals in response to specific research topics advertised under each call for funding.
The next call will be advertised towards the end of October 2013.

Sêr Cymru National Research Network - funding call open
Sêr Cymru is a £50million scheme launched by the Welsh Government to enhance and build on the research capacity in Wales, to attract world-leading Scientists and their teams and to support the establishment of three national research networks (NRNs).
Drug discovery and development is the theme of the Life Sciences and Health NRN, which will be led by Cardiff University. The first call for applicants is open, with a deadline of 4 October 2013.

Averil Osborn Award fund for 2013 are now invited
Awards objectives and policies
• The aim of the Fund is to encourage and support development work which will improve the quality-of-life and citizenship of older people.
• The Fund wishes to support original studies that involve older people at all stages of the research (design, execution, interpretation, dissemination).
• Awards in the range £500-£3,000 may be made.
