FULLY-FUNDED PhD SCHOLARSHIP IN DIGITAL HEALTH

The University of Salford (Greater Manchester, UK) is seeking able and suitably qualified applicants for a fully-funded Pathway to Excellence PhD Studentship in Digital Health. This can cover any area of new media and digital technologies related to health, such as, for example (but not restricted to) health information, health links, uses or implications of social media, mobile technologies or video games.

Pathway to Excellence studentships 

The Pathway to Excellence PhD Studentship is a new initiative introduced by the University of Salford as part of a strategic investment in research. 

We are looking to match the very best PhD students with our top supervisors to do research at an innovative, multidisciplinary University. Students will be working in a dynamic environment and will be supported to make real life, relevant impacts with their research and produce high quality research papers and other outputs. 

Up to 34 fully-funded Pathway to Excellence PhD Scholarships are available. Each student will receive a tax-free scholarship of £13,726 per year for up to 3 years, with free tuition. 

Students will receive excellent training in all areas of research and will be encouraged to get involved in networking and collaboration with the postgraduate community 

How to Apply 

When you apply for your PhD, you will be automatically considered for a Pathway to Excellence studentship. There is no need to submit an additional application. 


The deadline for Pathway to Excellence studentships is 31 March, 2014; applications received after this date will not be considered for the studentship (but will still be considered for PhD study). 


Only UK/EU candidates are eligible for the Pathway to Excellence studentship.
