We are seeking to appoint a research fellow to work on a pilot of an HIV community-based research partnership between the University of Greenwich and the Metro Centre (a sexual health/HIV prevention community organisation; see https://www.metrocentreonline.org)

With a PhD and/or equivalent research experience in a relevant field and experience of applied social research in sensitive topics you will be jointly responsible for the day-to-day conduct of this highly innovative and exciting research collaboration. This will include working closely with and providing training/mentoring for a small group of volunteer community researchers to carry out high quality research fieldwork. You will also work alongside the principle investigator on ethics applications, research and training protocols, data analysis, research reports/ peer-reviewed publications and funding proposals. You will be able to work both independently and as part of the team and have the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas both verbally and in writing. Experience of the voluntary sector environment would also be advantageous.
